My international group chose Autism because it is one of the most common disabilities and each one of my peers in my group has a close relative or friend who is autistic. Well, Autism is a developmental disorder with symptoms that appear within the first three years of life. Its formal diagnostic name is an autism spectrum disorder. The word “spectrum” indicates that autism appears in different forms with varying levels of severity according to the Autism Research Institute. The common symptoms you have to look out for are deficiency in social communication and reaction, and repetitive behavior and close focus interest, lack of facial expressions, and reduced eye contact according to the official website. 1 in 160 worldwide has ASD, studies show that many researchers have been working on Autism since the 1940s. But when it comes to activities for Autistic kids there are many to choose from, they like to play with legos, and watch anime specifically japanese anime, video games are the most popular activity that the kids love to do. More sports like activities for autstic kids are swimming; they love water and walking. They also love to make things. It can be food or building something.
With my group, we focused on the country of Japan. Japan is on the continent of Asia (East/Southeast Asia). The size of Japan is smaller than California in the U.S. The climate in Japan is a bit tropical but is cool up north, and they have climate issues. Air pollution from their factories results in acid rain. Their population is over 125 million and they are run by a parliamentary constitutional monarchy government. Their religion is mostly shintoism.
